The Great Riddle Of Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto

The creator of the first and most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, reaches the list of the 50 most richest people in the world according to the Forbes magazine .

Meanwhile the controversial currency has reached this year an all time high of $ 20,000 and that's a clear fact. Unfortunately things are not clear at all when we refer to its creator.

Is Satoshi Nakamoto alive? Dead? Hidden in some secret place?

The mysterious identity behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, the person who is credited with creating the Bitcoin cryptocurrency, is one of the most intoxicating enigmas of recent years.

It is believed that he is a Japanese-American citizen who, in 2008 through his research paper: (“Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System”) , started the revolution that allows the transfer of bitcoin with the use of peer-to-peer technology.

The truth is that although it was speculated on with a Japanese nationality, it has never been possible to demonstrate that it ever wrote any text in that language or any other prof that could suggest his nationality.

Satoshi Nakamoto, would have an estimated fortune of $ 17 billion at today's Bitcoin price

There are even theories that support the fact that it is rather a group of individuals who wanted to enrich themselves and not so much as to plant the seed of a financial revolution. In any case, that embryonic financial idea has not ceased to shake the foundations of the traditional economic system as people love to speculate nowadays.

Because of its philosophy, cryptocurrencies do not require government intervention or a specific regulator to operate. It works through  "blockchain" or "block chain" technology that allows a global accounting ledger to be launched.

A brilliant concept designed for multiple applications, although it has been the transfer of digital money that has generated greater interest.

It is a form of payment that has in the encryption of data the endorsement of its material value, and is developed collectively through an open source platform and without the control of any regulatory entity.

The Fear of a bubble

Over time, bitcoin has grown exponentially. Today has exceeded $ 18,000 in value, which has raised doubts about whether it is a speculative bubble or if, on the contrary, we are facing a refuge value that is submerged in a revolution.

In any case, currently 40% of bitcoins belong to only a thousand people, which in turn has contributed to feed the most reluctant positions to this type of monetary system emerged in the Internet era.

Common speculations about the figure of Satoshi Nakamoto.

In 2014 the magazine «Newsweek» claimed in a report, that a 64-year-old Japanese-American citizen by the name of Dorian Nakamoto, was the creator of Bitcoin virtual currency, but that information was finally denied and Dorian Nakamoto was not the «father» of the invention.

The mystery has spread in several chapters. In 2011, it was already pointed out that the Finnish economic sociologist Vili Lehdonvirta and a young cryptography student Michael Claro operated under the pseudonym Nakamoto.

The same year in which several indications were published and suggested that the experts Neal Rey, Vladimir Oksman and Charles Bry had created the Bitcoin network, something that they also denied afterwards.

The never ending story continued in 2013 when Japanese mathematician Shinichi Mochizuki was pointed as the "father" of the cryptocoin.

There were even attempts to link Bitcoin with Ross William Ulbricht, the supposed creator of a black market, the Silk Road, who operated on the so-called "deep web" or "deep internet", which worked until his arrest four years ago. But over the course of time other names paraded, such as Hal Finney, a cryptographic expert.

From a more objective perspective, the name that has had most strength as a precursor to the decentralized currency has been Craig Steven Wright, an Australian academic and 46 years  old entrepreneur .

An announcement that uncovered hours later the doubts of the experts, who claimed that it was only a publicity hit, benefiting his companies. Those claims made Wright to publicly retract his original statement. He did it without giving additional details, thus passing a new page of a history of enigmas and mysteries.
