Ripple Cryptocurrency starts 2018 in second place above Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash

Ripple has the support of important companies, among which Santander, BBVA and Google Ventures stand out. Also recently Ripple has been shaking hands with Japanese banks getting in the financial world. This is an extremely good news, for the second cryptocurrency on the market.

In the last month Ripple has gone from US $ 0.25 to US $ 2.50, rising to second place in the ranking of cryptocurrencies, above Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.

At the time of writing this report, Ripple's market capitalization is 90 trillion dollars, dominating more than 14% of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

One of the great advantages of Ripple is that it has a low cost transaction fee, added to its great speed. The disadvantage is the large number of Tokens that are in circulation.

The graph below shows the sharp increase in price and volume in the last week.
Personally I think that Ripple can continue to grow as the cryptocurrency has strong support from large institutions, as well as a great utility for the banking sector, which basically is to reduce the cost and time of transfers.

How much can be worth is difficult, but it would not be strange that in a short time occupy the 1st position, at least until Bitcoin solve their scaling problems and huge transaction fees.

Some rumors indicate that Coinbase Exchange will add Ripple to their inventory really soon and once that will happen the price will grow very fast.

In summary, we think that 2018 will be a filter year for cryptocurrencies, where those that have some use for the ecosystem will prevail, and Ripple will undoubtedly be one of the winners.
