AMD Threadripper 3000 Generation - When Can We Get Our Hands on One?

Next month the new Threadripper 3000 generation workstation CPUs from AMD will be announced, but it does not seem that all CPUs from the series will be launched then. According to the latest information that is now circulating through the press, we will have a Threadripper 3000 launch divided into several stages.

The first processors to make their appearance would be the Threadripper 3960X and 3970X. They will arrive on November the 19th, the same day that reviews from the independent press will be available. Also on that day we will receive a new generation of motherboards, based on the TRX40 chipset, AMD choosing this time not to borrow the numbering from Intel.

A Threadripper 3980X has been rumored in recent days, but it is not present in current information, nor are TRX80 chipset motherboards. However, there is Threadripper 3990X. The top processor, expected to come with 64 cores, will be released only one January, next year. So if you want something with more power than many servers you'll have to wait a while nut not that much.
