Apple To Launch a New 16'' MacBook Pro Very Soon
In the last few months there have been rumors about a new generation of MacBook Pro laptops, and the latest version of OSX even has a new listed model, which seems similar in specifications and design to what was recently rumored.
However, Apple has not announced any official launch event, despite the fact that available information suggests that the launch should take place sometime before the end of October. New Taiwanese information continues to strengthen this information, while Apple does not appear to be in a hurry to provide official information.
The Taiwanese publication DigiTimes has published an article claiming to have unofficial information that Appleās partner Quanta Computer has already started delivering final units of a new MacBook Pro model. It seems to be the one with a 16.5 "display, slightly larger than the current top model, but that will be integrated into a body size similar to the 15" MacBook Pro. In terms of design, the two laptops will be similar, but the new variant will have a smaller frame around the screen.
By the way, this could be the model that finally "fixes" the keyboard on MacBooks, after the company started introducing "Butterfly" switches in 2015 on the 12 "MacBook and then in 2016 on the MacBook Pro. After three years of user complaints and repeated attempts to repair the design, Apple should return to a classic "scissors" button press system.
At the hardware level, the new 16" MacBook Pro could integrate Intel processors, either from the Coffe Lake or Ice Lake family, probably with new models, not yet announced by Intel. In fact, the rumors are talking about a display with a weird resolution: 3,072 x 1,080 pixels, on a larger format than the classic 16:9 on today's Apple computers.
The 13" and 15" MacBook Pro models will remain in the company's offer, with the 16" model being considered a new upper gear. The next hardware upgrade of the existing variants may also receive the new keyboard sometime in 2020.
Given that it's only a week from October and Apple has not announced an official event, if the company is actually preparing to launch a new laptop in the coming days, it will not receive a similar event-dedicated treatment, such as a new iPhone , despite significant upgrades.
