iPhone 12 will be as performant as the MacBook Pro

If we rely on what TSMC (creators of Apple A-Seris processors) say about the transistor density of the new 5nm manufacturing process, we look at the incredible amount of 15 billion transistors on a single chip. This means more than most desktop processors. It is huge and I would not be surprised if the score in Geekbench 5 Multi-Core exceeds 5000 points. As a benchmark, the fastest Android on the market gets somewhere at 3000 points, so a score of 5000 would be similar to that obtained by a 6-core desktop processor or a high-end laptop like the MacBook Pro 15

And that's not all when it comes to the performance of the iPhone 12. The only issue that Apple phones are known for, it is definitely the lower RAM capacity compared to Android devices. But that is about to change because Apple will double the memory capacity of the new phone and at the same time bring improvements on the graphics processing side.
New and Redesigned Face ID
Apple already has the best facial recognition system on the market with Face ID, but the company is about to refresh it. As the RAM capacity of the new iPhone will increase to 6GB from 4GB, Apple will also add a large-range 3D camera. This will be a big improvement because it will be able to scan your face features and you will be the only person who can unlock the phone. All this is an extra step towards augmented reality.
The icing on the cake of the iPhone 12
That's not all. Even though similar in appearance to the current generation, the iPhone 12 will be Apple's first phone to offer 5G connectivity for all models in the series.
