Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback Racing Wheel Review
This blog post will review the Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback Racing Wheel. The wheel is designed for racing games, but can be used with other genres as well. It features a metal reinforced pedal set, 1080 degree rotation and 270 degrees of movement in all directions.
You can use this steering wheel on your computer or Playstation 4 console to get the most immersive gaming experience possible! This article offers an honest opinion about this product based on personal experience using it in various situations including the latest driving games.
If you are looking for a racing wheel that is more affordable than some others but still gives the same high-quality performance then I would recommend checking out the Thrustmaster T150 force feedback racing wheel. You won't regret buying one!
In the world of Xbox gaming wheels, Thrustmaster has been a long-time participant - not always at the very top rung, but it's a name that is well known and respected. While I've never been a serious console racing gamer, I have played many racing games o various consoles over the years. I've always been fairly content with using my Xbox 360 wireless controller, but sometimes I feel like I'm just missing out when it comes to the overall experience of playing games that are designed for racing wheels.
For that reason, I've been looking to get a Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback Racing Wheel.
The packaging for the Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback Racing Wheel is pretty clean and straightforward. There's not a lot of fancy artwork to look at on the box - just some basic photos of the actual wheel itself, along with details about what you get when you purchase it.
As I opened the box, I was a little surprised by how large the wheel was in real life. It's not a massive unit in terms of width or height, but it does have a pretty sizable footprint on the table in front of your TV or monitor.
Thrustmaster T150 Pros
The wheel is great for beginners, with all the features that anyone could need. It's compatible to eco-system pedals and has 1080 degrees of rotation! 1024 steps are available in PC gaming platforms too so you're covered there as well - just don't forget about your console if this was what got you hooked on games at home or work!
The force feedback feels very responsive thanks to good placement of buttons on both paddles (as well as being able to change which direction they face). The pedals are good as well - I like that they provide a nice wide surface to place your feet on, as opposed to some of the other pedals out there. These ones don't look very fancy though and they're not adjustable either (if you're looking for something more premium-feeling, check our Best Racing Wheels Review ).
Thrustmaster T150 Compatibility
The T150 is compatible with both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, as well as PC. It has two metal plates for PS3 and PS4 - with the appropriate logos stamped on them.

The base of the unit is mostly circular, with a flat spot at one end which helps keep it stable when you're using it or have it resting on the floor. The base of the Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback Racing Wheel has a textured rubber-like material, which keeps it from sliding around on your surface - even if you have a smooth table or desk.
If you look at the front of the unit, there's a nice inclusion that I've not seen before with other budget racing wheels - paddles. These are usually standard with the top-of-the-line Thrustmaster models, so it's nice to see them included here.
This is not a force feedback unit, but does offer '4 levels of precise force effects'. It's also worth noting that there are no other buttons on the unit at all, so you don't have any other ways to customize or change your settings. For that reason, I would recommend this unit for those who are looking for a simple, no-nonsense experience and not interested in tinkering with bells and whistles.

The wheel itself is plastic - but not a terrible cheap plastic. It feels pretty durable and well put together, at least to the touch - I'm sure durability may vary depending on how often you use it. The wheel itself has a nice black finish with white accents along the spokes, which I think looks pretty sharp.
It's worth noting that the wheel has a fairly smooth movement - there is some resistance when you turn it, but it's not enough to make you fight with the wheel while trying to get your car around a corner.
Thrustmaster T150 Pedals
Out of the box, the pedals feel pretty sturdy and well-built. They're not hard plastic - they have a base made out of metal, but the pedals are covered with a textured rubberized material that adds grip.
I was excited to get these pedals, but after using them for a couple of minutes I realized what some people might not know: they're pretty bad. The pedal feel is lightweight and doesn't have much durability compared with more expensive models like the Thrustmaster T3PA Pros which are better suited if you want your racing wheel setup just how it should be!
I also found that because my floor was made out of vinyl-type material rather than hardwood underneath (it's fake), there was still SOME vibration transfer through when pressing down on either foot plate during gameplay sessions.
Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback Wheel Features
The T150 is a no-nonsense, straightforward wheel that provides an affordable and immersive experience for beginners. For those who are just starting out in the world of racing games but have become attached to more advanced features like adjustable settings or physical pedals with multiple buttons on them, this may not be what they’re looking for because it's simpler than most other racing sims wheels available today which offer intuitive adjustments rather than lots off confusing menus packed full oI complicated controls schemes as seen with the Thrustmaster - GT .
But let me assure you there isn't much else here either; besides steering felt resistance and peddle force sensitivity levels--which can also be altered depending on how much pressure you apply to the pedals--there aren't any other settings for this wheel that I could find.

It has a convenient clamp system that slides onto your desk so it does not move around while you're trying to race. Because of its strong grip, this force feedback racing wheel will stick in place and be unable to slide or move during playtime.
Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback
The T150 steering wheel is a refreshing change from the typically remote controls I’ve used in past years. The force feedback feels great and provides lots of fun, with just enough resistance for my liking without being too difficult on contact points. It doesn't have that same sensation as driving something real but it does its job well none-the less!
The Thrustmaster T150 Conclusion - Is it worth buying?
The Thrustmaster T150 is a great entry-level racing wheel that offers an immersive experience for beginners. The lack of features can be seen as both its biggest strength and weakness because it's simple enough to use but not so many customization options.
For those who are looking for something more than just steering felt resistance or peddle force sensitivity levels--which can also be altered according to how much pressure you apply to the pedals--there aren't any other settings available on this unit.
