E-Win Calling Series Gaming Chair Review - The High Quality & Affordable Gaming Chair We've Been Waiting For
We’ve all been there, we want a new gaming chair to improve our gaming experience, but let’s face it, we don’t always have $500 standing around just waiting for us to spend. Of course you might think you need to spend a lot of money for a high quality gaming chair, and in some cases it is true, because the gaming chair is probably the most important piece of the gaming setup since most of your time while gaming or working will be spent sitting in it.
A gaming chair should be comfortable, not too soft but not too harsh either, must provide good support for your hands, must last for at least two-three years and probably the most important feature is to have good, no, excellent back and lumbar support.
So how can we get a high quality gaming chair without braking the bank? Well E-Win launched a new gaming chairs series, the E-Win Calling series gaming chairs and we can say that this series is exactly what all of us have been waiting for. In this article we will have a look over the E-Win calling series gaming chairs and we hope that by the end of the article you may agree with us that this series is probably what your gaming setup is missing.
E-Win Calling Series Gaming Chair Review
Since E-Win entered the gaming industry, their gaming chairs have been proven to be one of the best in the industry. They managed to combine and compliment aesthetics with functionality, while offering more than any other brand on the market. E-Win is the first company that expanded the standard weight limit from 300 pounds to 400 pounds and some models like the E-Win Flash XL Size can handle up to 550 pounds.
The E-Win Calling Series comes with a few differences than the previous gaming chairs we've reviewed. This model comes with a different constructed base as well as some new design changes. Overall this gaming chair comes with adjustable controls for just about every feature you can think of. It comes with two included pillows for lumbar and neck support as well as with all the tools you need to assemble the chair by yourself.
We started this article by mentioning that this gaming chair will not break the bank, and at the time of writing the article the E-Win Calling Series gaming chairs are listed on E-Win website for just about $269, and we think it's a bargain taking into account the features of this gaming chair.

E-Win Calling Series Gaming Chair Assembly
Assembling the Calling Series Gaming chair is very straight forward, it comes with everything in the box and by following the easy to read assembly manual we managed to assemble the chair in just under 20 minutes.
After taking everything out of the box and looking over the parts we have to deal with, we noticed right away that the metal mount and the piston seem to be made out of sturdy, solid, high quality metal with quite a bit of weight. A good thing if you consider that these two have to handle a lot of movement.
One thing you need to know while assembling your brand new gaming chair is that there are two different allen wrenches and two different classes of bolts. The larger bolts will be used for the bottom and the smaller ones for the side of the chair.
Installing the bottom mount was very easy. All we needed to do was to proper orient the front of the chair to it's proper direction and bolt down all the four screws in. The only thing that actually requires assembly with regards to the base was to install the casters, inserting the piston to the center hole, and as a last step we dropped the assembled bottom cushion on top. That's it, nothing more, nothing less!
Installing the back was a little tricky and we do recommend having a helping hand as it might not be that easy to properly mount it without someone else holding it into place while screwing in the bolts. But with that being said the assembly process is done and we could now enjoy the brand new gaming chair.
E-Win Calling Series Gaming Chair Aesthetics and Functionality
Now that the assembly process is over, let’s have a look at the finished product.
This gaming chair looks fantastic! The two included pillows and stitched leather are the strong points of the chair. The base and back blend perfectly with each other giving it a very cool looking racing design. We did forgot to mention that the Calling series come with different color combinations, so you can choose the color scheme most suited to your gaming setup.
The controls of the chair are located underneath the right side as well as where the back pillow and the base are connected on the right hand side. These controls adjust the height of the gaming chair as well as the ability to lock the tilt or rocking functionality.
To adjust the angle of the back rest you will have to use the E-Brake style handle located on the right hand side. The angle is quite generous for a budget gaming chair and will let you drop the back of the chair to an almost parallel position relative to the ground. We always love this feature and we always use them when we need a break (and why not a quick power nap).
Unfortunately in the Calling series the arm rests can only be adjusted up and down, unlike the Champion series or Flash XL series which feature 4D arm rests, but hey some costs had to be deducted from somewhere, and to be honest this was not a show stopper for us. I mean it is a nice to have a 4D arm rest but not mandatory for a proper sitting posture and since they are padded they do provide enough comfort for long gaming sessions.
E-Win Calling Series Gaming Chair Comfort and Ergonomics
Comparing the Calling series to other chairs that we used over time, this gaming chair feels a little stiffer than others. We are not saying that it is not comfortable, but quite the opposite. This impression fades away as we soon realized how well our backs were being supported especially thanks to the bottom pillow.
After having a few rounds in Dota 2 we were surprised to notice that our backs (at least in my own use case) were not aching or feeling stiff. We are very pleased that even for the most affordable priced chair, E-Win does not make any compromises on back and lumbar support.
The materials and stitching used on the base and on the back fell very nice and should last for years, we are sure of it, and the overall construction feels solid and strong. You might even feel that this chair should be more expensive. We did not experience any squeaks or other disturbing noises while moving around with the chair so overall we can say we are quite impressed with the build quality and comfort the Calling series has to offer.
Conclusions and Final Words
The E-Win Calling series gaming chairs are for sure a nice surprise, especially when considering the price point. We cannot find any objective flaws in the design of the gaming chair, or the quality of the materials, which is from our perspective a very curious thing. How did they manage to build something like this and keep the price affordable? We are sure they have their secrets, but we at least welcome them in our lives and maybe you will too. Thank you for reading and see you next time!
